Shaping a Sustainable Water Future: Dr. Nandita Basu Joins Panel at the FLOW × Massey Freshwater Symposium

On September 25, 2025, Dr. Nandita Basu, Professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of Waterloo and Principle Investigator of the Solutionscapes Project,  joined a panel of experts at The Forum for Leadership on Water (FLOW): Ensuring the Flow: Water Security for Canada and the World, hosted by Massey College in Toronto.

Dr. Basu participated in the panel, From Source to Solution: Canada’s Global Leadership in Shaping a Sustainable Water Future, which explored implications of water security for public health, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and posed questions about Canadian foreign policy and international development approaches.

Dr. Basu also participated in the President’s Freshwater Table, facilitated by Canada Water Agency President Mark Fisher, discussing how federal leadership can strengthen water security. The FLOW × Massey Freshwater Symposium brought together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss water management and resilience at local, national, and global levels.
