The Importance of Disconnected Wetlands: A Key Player in Improving Landscape Water Quality

Wetlands provide a range of environmental and societal benefits but small, isolated wetlands are often lost due to human activity. But does it matter? We take a look at how these isolated wetlands can have huge benefits for improving the water quality in the environment! Research conducted by Frederick Cheng, Junehyeong Park, Mukesh Kumar, and Nandita Basu at the University of Waterloo and the University of Alabama.
